What’s better than one GT-R? A whole bunch of them!

Over the weekend of December 5–6, GT-R NZ, GT-R, and GT-R Parts Buy, Sell, and Swap members organized what will be the first of many GT-R–only meets, the first of which was held at Greenlane McDonalds — a common meeting ground for car enthusiasts.

GT-R owners of all varieties came out to get involved. Owners with completely factory examples, through to some of New Zealand’s most highly modified street cars, such as Faizal Ramzan’s R34 GT-R, which we here at NZ Performance Car have featured twice, and Ashnil Kumar’s R33 GT-R, which outputs over 500kW at the wheels on pump fuel.

Spectators of all kinds came out too, drooling over the finest display of GT-Rs ever seen in one place.

If you’d like to get involved in the next GT-R meet here in Auckland, and you own a GT-R, we’d recommend searching and joining GT-R NZ on Facebook, for more information.

Dutch, French, or just a Kiwi, René isn’t quite sure, but he does know he has a passion for Japanese vehicles like no other. A well-seasoned Gran Turismo player dating back to his single-digit days, René has a comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of performance vehicles and has owned more than 30 performance cars here in New Zealand, ranging from Nissans to Hondas. A lover of photography, you’ll find him either peeping under someone’s bonnet to snap a detailed shot, or on the side of the racetrack, perfecting his panning.
