Over the course of 2015, we’ve featured no less than 69 cars, so when it came time to narrow down to our top 15 of 2015, we seriously struggled. Below is what we narrowed it down to. With the standard of builds being completed in the country skyrocketing, it was no easy feat to choose. We looked at what cars we’d love to have parked in our own garages, and this is what we came up with — in no particular order. Here’s another of our Top 15, and you can check out an earlier listing here.
Mike Bari — 1971 Chev Chevelle SS
Mike Bari’s Chevelle is, hands down, one of the best cars we’ve ever featured. The entire vehicle is a work of automotive art, despite being built for function over form — that function was a cross between civilized street driving and frantic quarter mile action, and Mike has nailed it. With a nitrous-equipped 598ci big block up front, a mini-tubbed rear end, and the best gear imaginable in between, it’s a mechanical triumph. It just happens to be as well built, finished, and presented as a top-tier show vehicle — albeit one that the owner isn’t afraid to drive on New Zealand’s unforgiving roads.
