With the Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge being a two-day event, the show and shine is held on the Saturday of the event, when the most spectators will be present. There were 1200 vehicles entered with the hope of being in this year's show and shine, but only 400 were accepted, pushing the quality sky high.

What was instantly noticeable was the amount of Skyline GT-Rs, Evos, Subaru BRZs, and Toyota GT86s. The car scene here is vast, but there were mostly JDM vehicles in attendance at this show. Take a look at the show and shine gallery below. There's plenty more where these shots came from, so keep your eyes peeled!

René Vermeer

Dutch, French, or just a Kiwi, René isn’t quite sure, but he does know he has a passion for Japanese vehicles like no other. A well-seasoned Gran Turismo player dating back to his single-digit days, René has a comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of performance vehicles and has owned more than 30 performance cars here in New Zealand, ranging from Nissans to Hondas. A lover of photography, you’ll find him either peeping under someone’s bonnet to snap a detailed shot, or on the side of the racetrack, perfecting his panning.
