One of the biggest weekends in New Zealand drifting is just around the corner — July 1–4 at Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park in Taupo. With driver entries sold out well in advance for the first three days — and the fourth nearly sold out — it's going to be the biggest drift event in New Zealand this year. These Zeroclass-run events are not about competition, clipping points, or qualifying scores — it's pure grass roots.
The four-day tyre-frying bonanza is split into amateur and advanced groups, with the amateurs running on Friday and Monday on track three, and the advanced group hitting track two over Saturday and Sunday. While it's predominantly not a competition, it's pure expression session and all the good things, like drift trains, that come with that. There is a big entry comp, which is something that promises to be entertaining at the very least.
So now that we have sold you on making the mid-winter trek to Taupo, but you don't want to pay for your tickets, which by the way are available here, we are guessing you want to know how to win one of the 10 four-day weekend passes we have to give away?
