Import drag racing stalwart Azhar Bhamji has taken aim at running mid eights with his street legal Mazda R100 and has commissioned a fresh engine build in-house at Dynamic Automotive to get there. Based around a Billet by Pac plates, the 13B semi-pp is a brand-new package that makes use of a Garrett GTX45 strapped to the side.

A Haltech ECU now handles engine management with the Pac boys flying over to tune and help set-up the car. With his current PB right on the edge of the bracket, having run a 9.01 @ 244kph (152mph), Azhar may have already dipped into the eights by the time you read this. Keep an eye on the NZ Performance Car Facebook page for updates.
